SoAlive Music Conference (SAMC) returns for yet another edition to Sofia, Bulgaria, between October 2-4, 2024, with the mission of continuing to act as a bridge between the musical talents of the Balkans and those who govern the global music scene. Key venues right at the heart of the capital, Sofia Live Club, Mixtape5, City Stage, and the Azaryan Theatre Hall 2 of the National Palace of Culture will host exciting concerts, seminars, and panel discussions in an environment where experiences can be shared and new horizons explored.
SoAlive Music Conference 2023 can be considered a successful edition of a music conference and (showcase) festival happening in the Balkans, which featured the likes of Dr. Mathew Knowles, David Fricke (check out the summary of the interview with David Fricke from SAMC 2023,) and Will Page. SAMC 2024 aims to ensure that this trend continues, creating even more opportunities for networking with some of the most respected music labels and organizations across the world.
The First Confirmed Delegates at SAMC 2024
Among the first influential names confirmed to take part in this year’s conference are Irish musician, critic, and author Dr. Martin Clancy; Bulgarian author and Booker Prize-winner Georgi Gospodinov; Thomas Golubic-music supervisor, DJ, and record producer, four-time Emmy Award nominee and two-time Grammy Award nominee; Stefan Elenkov, founder and CEO of the leading promotion company Fest Team; Bulgarian EU Commissioner Iliana Ivanova; and awarded video game music composer Borislav Slavov. We recommend visiting the conference website for the complete list of delegates at SAMC 2024.
The Main Topics for SoAlive Music Conference 2024
Unlike this year’s event, the highlight will be on AI technology and the implications of AI development to the world of art and music. SAMC 2024 will offer a forum to discuss the current and unpredictable effects of these advances on the industry: What does AI do to the creative processes? What are some of the new opportunities and challenges that artists and industry professionals will face? How might technological advances affect both live festivals and concerts, and what other new technologies, holograms, and mechanisms may arise for these most important areas of the industry?
However, AI and technology are not the only topics that the delegates will discuss. The comprehensive program and the list of panels are visible on the SAMC website.
