Navijačka (Moja BiH) by _JAP_, dedicated to the BiH National Soccer Team

Bosnian-Herzegovinian musician Jasmin Smajić, performing under the name JAP, steps into the spotlight with his debut solo single “Navijačka (Moja BiH),” a passionate tribute to the national football team’s historic qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The upcoming tournament in the United States marks a significant achievement for Bosnia and Herzegovina, reigniting national pride and uniting fans across the country and diaspora. Riding that wave of euphoria, JAP channels the emotional high into a song designed to echo through stadium stands as supporters follow their team overseas.

Known for his long-standing role as a bass guitarist in various Bosnian bands, including Sinhro, Snakebite, Emir and Frozen Camels, Upitnik, and Koka Koma, Smajić now takes a bold creative step forward. After years of collaboration, “Navijačka (Moja BiH)” is his first fully independent project — written, arranged, and performed entirely by himself.

“As the excitement around our qualification grew, the idea for the song came naturally. I wanted to create something that fans could truly feel and sing together.”

Smajić shared in his email

Recorded at Piksi Studio in beautiful Tuzla with producer Azur Jahić, who also directed the video, the track blends rock instrumentation with anthemic energy. JAP plays bass, acoustic and electric guitars, keyboards, piano, and timpani, while friends contributed backing vocals to enhance the authentic fan atmosphere.

Lyrically, the song was initially longer, but Smajić refined it to emphasize a powerful, chant-like chorus crafted to resonate in stadiums. The result is a dynamic supporter anthem dedicated to the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team and its loyal fans as they prepare for the World Cup journey.

The video, filmed primarily in Tuzla with additional outdoor scenes and match footage provided by Muamer Nukić, visually reinforces the communal spirit behind the project.

With “Navijačka (Moja BiH),” JAP not only celebrates a sporting milestone but also captures a unifying cultural moment — one that will follow Bosnia and Herzegovina all the way to the United States in 2026.
