Minelli, the Romanian star of global hits whose songs are emotional and danceable, is getting ready to tour North America in 2025. Minelli is set to perform in North America early in March 2025 in Toronto, Chicago, New York, and Miami.
She is eager to engage fans across the continent with her signature energy and good vibes. In this interview, Minelli expresses her joy at performing in the US and Canada for the first time and teases new music and surprise collaborations.
Be with me in this interview, in which Minelli talks about the start of this thrilling new chapter in her career!
Q: What inspired you to bring your tour to North America in 2025? Was there a specific moment or fan interaction that made you say, “I need to perform there”?
MINELLI: Hello hello! I get lots of messages from all around the world and especially a lot from the US and Canada. Since touring Europe and Asia so much, it was always a dream to get across the pond and have a tour in America. I am so happy to discover new places, new cultures, new people. So we’ve managed to start this first little part in North America, nevertheless I am looking forward to do this also in South America. I can’t wait to perform.
Q: Your tour covers Toronto, Chicago, New York, and Miami. All cities have their own vibe. Are you tailoring your performances to the energy of these places?
MINELLI: Well, it’s hard to say because it’s the first time for me to perform in the US and Canada, so I’m very curious to feel each and every city. I have a special show for this Tour and what I can tell you is that I will bring all the energy I have and all the good vibes. I’m so ready to rock the stage and enjoy every second with the people.
Q: The fans are always curious – will there be any exclusive surprises in the tour, like new songs or collaborations we haven’t seen before?
MINELLI: I will add some new songs for this tour and yes, there are some upcoming collabs that I’m very excited to share with my fans. All I can say is that some big international names joined my new journey and I feel blessed to share pieces of my art with them. The first part of my new Album will be released on March 28th but I will perform some tracks during this tour, so you will see some exclusives 😊
Q: Your music is universally appealing, and you combine Romanian and international influences from pop, dance, and electronic music. Are you drawing inspiration from North American culture for your music or this tour?
MINELLI: Well, even though you’ve heard so many electronic/dance tracks with my voice, I have to admit that the music that I love the most comes from the US, like soul music, r&b, jazz. I’m a sucker for old school music. I was listening to different artists like Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Aretha Franklin, Sting, Sade, Stevie Wonder and so on since I was a kid, so I can say that I already have the US influence under my skin and I really try to softly insert this type of vibe into my own music.
Q: Fans love connecting with their favorite artists beyond the music. Do you have any plans for meet-and-greets, social media challenges, or other ways to interact with your North American audience?
MINELLI: I’m always open to meet my audience, to share ideas, to listen to them so if it will be possible I’ll do it for sure. The exchange of energy and love has always helped me to grow and create more so I’m in for this type of things.
Q: We know you like to keep your fans guessing. Is there a dream collaborator or surprise guest who might join you on some of the tour dates?
MINELLI: If I will tell you it wouldn’t be a surprise guest. 😊
Q: Your performances seem to be the party that everyone has to come to. What is one thing you wish the fans to remember from your shows on this tour?
MINELLI: If I could, I would hit them with arrows of joy and happiness, because I just wanna see the audience smile and dance every second of the show, I really want them to feel my energy, that’s so authentic and true. I’ll be there joining the party just like a happy kid that’s living his dream.
Q: What’s next for Minelli after the North American tour? Fans should be expecting new music, or at least another tour, or something completely different?
MINELLI: After the American tour we continue in Europe and Asia in different places, so this tour is the start of a marathon, and I simply love to see my schedule full. It gets fuller when the summer comes and I’m so ready to rock many festivals this year in different countries. There will be new music, new collabs, different genres, and a new album is coming, so yeah, be ready to dive into my world again through my music.
Q: What’s your message to North American fans eagerly waiting to see you live?
MINELLI: I can’t wait to meet you all, be ready to party like crazy, I’ll set my treadmill on fire these months to be able to sing and dance with you guys the whole show. Much love and can’t wait! All blessings! Minelli.
