Australian singer Kylie Minogue is set to release a new album, titled “Tension“, after nearly a three-year break following her last album, “Disco“, which came out in November 2020. The album is scheduled for promotion on 22/09/2023 and will be released by BMG and Darenote.
“Tension” marks Kylie Minogue’s sixteenth studio album, and it’s expected to feature a more prominent electro-pop sound compared to her previous disco release. Kylie has been known for experimenting with her musical style in recent releases, and this trend is expected to continue with this album. “Tension” will be available in two versions: the standard edition, containing 11 tracks, and the deluxe edition, which includes 3 bonus tracks.

“I started this album with an open mind and a blank page. Unlike my last two albums there wasn’t a ‘theme,’ it was about finding the heart or the fun or the fantasy of that moment and always trying to service the song. I wanted to celebrate each song’s individuality and to dive into that freedom. I would say it’s a blend of personal reflection, club abandon and melancholic high.”
Minogue remarked in a press release
The first single, “Padam Padam”, was released in June and was written by Ina Wroldsen and Peter Rycroft. Following that, the second single titled “Tension” (same as the album’s name), was released at the beginning of the month. “Tension” was penned by Kylie Minogue, Anya Jones, Camille Purcell, Jon Green, Richard Stannard, and Duck Blackwell.
The album “Tension” by Kylie Minogue, along with the singles, will be available in various physical formats in addition to the digital format. In addition to records, the release will also be available on cassette tapes, which is certainly a rarity. Some of these releases are already available on Kylie Minogue’s online store.
