Twisted Sister Returns in 2026: “Twisted Forever, Forever Twisted”

Legendary heavy metal icons Twisted Sister have officially announced their return: a global tour in 2026 to celebrate their 50th anniversary. The news, revealed on September 10, 2025, promises a loud and unapologetic homecoming for fans of the band’s rebellious spirit and anthemic sound.

Founding guitarist and manager Jay Jay French reflected on the milestone with pride, recalling how the band formed on February 2, 1976, in a small bar called The Turtleneck Inn in Hunter Mountain, NY.

“We have created a music and performance legacy that has and will continue to inspire millions of fans around the world. Twisted Forever, Forever Twisted!” he declared.”

Lead guitarist Eddie Ojeda chimed in:

“Fifty years on, and Twisted Sister is still the soundtrack for every rebel with a reason, and a reason to turn it up.”

Frontman Dee Snider turned up the volume even further with his trademark flair:

“If you’re lucky enough to be in a band that people still want to see after fifty years(!), how can you not answer the call? In 2026, Twisted Fucking Sister will hit stages around the world because WE STILL WANNA ROCK!!”

Although specific dates, venues, and cities remain under wraps, fans can mark their calendars: Joe “Seven” Franco returns on drums. His first stint with the band since the 1987 “Love Is for Suckers” album and tour. On bass will be Russell Pzütto, another familiar face who’s previously toured with Dee Snider’s solo projects.

This marks a milestone moment: Twisted Sister last toured in 2016 with drummer Mike Portnoy, following the tragic loss of A.J. Pero. Over their storied five-decade career, the band sold over 35 million albums worldwide. It earned 31 Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Multi-Platinum certifications across eight countries. “We’re Not Gonna Take It” and “I Wanna Rock” remain among the most licensed heavy metal songs for film, TV, and advertising. Their iconic videos made MTV must-see viewing, and the band was inducted, first in 2006 into the Long Island Music & Entertainment Hall of Fame, then in 2023 into the Heavy Metal Hall of Fame.

What’s next? More details are incoming. Fans should visit Twisted Sister’s official channels to learn about their upcoming tour, which promises an unforgettable loud and proud entertainment experience, and is absolutely unmissable.

We remind you that Music Nonstop Today is a producer of the rock and metal podcast Denim and Leather, hosted by the greatest S.M.F, Urosh Veljkovic. Last year and this year, we recorded episodes with Jay Jay French, Russell Pzütto, Joe Franco, and the ex-tour manager of Twisted Sister, Denny Stanton. We hope we do an episode with Dee Snider as well in the following year.
