Australia has its queen, pop icon Kylie Minogue, who has reached the number-one spot on the Australian Weekly Top 50 album chart (ARIA Top 50 Albums for the week of 2 October 2023). Kylie Minogue’s album “Tension” has made its debut at the top of the chart.
This marks Minogue’s eighth ARIA number-one album and her fourth consecutive number-one album. Her previous chart-topping albums include “Light Years” in 2000, “Fever” in 2001, “X” in 2007, “Kiss Me Once” in 2014, “Golden” in 2018, “Step Back In Time: The Definitive Collection” in 2019, and “Disco” in 2020.
Kylie Minogue’s success on the Australian charts extends to her singles as well. She has achieved 10 number-one singles on the chart, from “Locomotion” to “2 Hearts In“. Her first single to reach the top of the charts in Australia was in 1987.
