Alen Hrbinić with a Special Award at the 2023 Ohrid Fest


Bosnian singer Alen Hrbinić was honoured with a special award at the annual 2023 Ohrid Fest – Ohrid Troubadours. He received this award for his song “Noćima” (At nights). Alen Hrbinić participated in the second, international night of the festival.

“I am delighted to have had the opportunity to participate in the Ohrid Fest after the CMC festival and to represent myself and Bosnia and Herzegovina in the best possible way. I performed the song “Noćima“, which will be included on my upcoming album. The music was composed by Darko Tasev, and I wrote the lyrics myself”

The 30th anniversary edition of Ohrid Fest was held on 01/09/2023 and 02/09/2023, on the grand stage “Dolni Saraj” in the picturesque town of Ohrid. The festival featured two evenings of music: the first was dedicated to folk music, featuring 19 newly composed folk songs, while the second evening, the International Evening, showcased 15 lively tunes. The festival welcomed esteemed guests such as Dado Topić, Goca Tržan, Vasil Garvanliev, Darko Capo, and Jimmy Sion.

Dushko Georgievski was awarded first place by the jury in the Folk Evening, while Kate Taneva and the band Saraj secured the first place based on the audience’s choice. During the International Evening, David Miladinov was the first prize winner. The award for the best debutant was presented to Hristijan Prodanov.

Neda Ukraden was honoured with the timeless hit award for her song “Zora je” (It’s dawn). Dado Topić received the honorary award for his significant contribution to spreading music in the Balkans.
