Frauenfeld is the capital of the Swiss canton of Thurgau, located on the Murg River northeast of Zürich and surrounded by gentle hills, vineyards, and countryside. It is a lively small town of around 26,000–27,000 inhabitants, known for its historic old town and castle, as well as hosting the major hip-hop festival Openair Frauenfeld.
