March 20, 2024 (LOS ANGELES, CA) – Today, Coachella‘s leading stage artist and Grammy-nominated artist Porter Robinson releases a new single, “Cheerleader.”
“When I got back in the studio for ‘Cheerleader’, I asked: what would be something that people could love with zero context — just instantaneous, universal, explosive connection? ‘Cheerleader’ is my take on bottling that feeling.”
says Robinson.
Robinson is the complete author and producer of the song. The song likably blends electro and subtle rock elements, successfully packed with a pop finish that can easily overwhelm anyone. It looks like that Robinson achieved his goal with the “Cheerleader.”

The video was directed by Hugh Mulhern, who won the award for Best New Director at the 2023 UK Music Video Awards and was creatively overseen by the director duo Bradley & Pablo (Bradley Bell and Pablo Jones-Soler), known for their work with Harry Styles, Dua Lipa, and Rosalía. The project was produced in collaboration with Mom+Pop (a record label based in New Your City that signed artists such as Tom Morello, Ashe, Madeon, Courtney Barnett, Lucius, and many others)
