Radiotelevision of Bosnia and Herzegovina announces a competition for the selection of songs and performers (including musical groups) for participation in the Folk Music Festival “Ilidža 2025”, which will be held on August 25 and 26, 2025.
Original, unpublished and unperformed songs written in the official languages of BiH with a maximum duration of four minutes are sent to the competition.
The production of all the selected songs is realized by BHRT, which guarantees the applicants of the selected songs participation in one of the evenings of the festival, direct television and radio broadcast and presentation at the press conference of the festival.
Applicants from all over the world have the right to participate in the Competition.
For the best songs, the organizer will provide cash prizes and festival awards in the following categories:
- The best text
- The best music
- The best arrangement
- The best interpretation
- The winning song of the festival
In order for the application to be considered, it is necessary to contain:
- the full text of the song
- a demo recording of the song in mp3 format containing the lead vocal part accompanied by one instrument
- a short biography and contact information of the author of the music and lyrics of the song
The application, at the applicant’s choice, may contain:
- a proposal for a vocal soloist with a short biography
- a proposal for the author of the arrangement

The deadline for submitting songs is May 1, 2025.
The selection committee will inform all applicants about the results of the Competition no later than May 5, 2025.
