The urban Skopje club “Kafe i Film Kotur” is hosting a concert featuring Deliluh from Canada and Bain de Gong from France. This concert is scheduled for 26/10/2023, on a Thursday, starting at 21:00.
DELILUH, consisting of Kyle Knapp and Julius Pedersen, is a Canadian duo known for their enigmatic style. Currently residing and working between Berlin and Marseille, they are on a European tour to promote their latest album, “Faulty Lines,” released under Tin Angels Records in 2022. This album represents a significant artistic development in their career.
This is the first time the duo performs in Skopje.
Deliluh is known for their adventurous spirit, constantly pushing the boundaries and exploring new musical territories. They skilfully blend post-punk, ambient drone, and experimental electronics, creating an organic and uncompromising sonic identity. Their music is accompanied by thought-provoking lyrics, delivered in an enigmatic spoken word style. This unique combination takes the listener on an unpredictable journey through the human experience, akin to a post-apocalyptic sonic odyssey where hope remains alive.
Deliluh’s origins are closely linked to Toronto’s vibrant DIY scene, where they formed as a post-punk quartet in 2013. However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, several members departed from the group, and it currently operates as a duo. They’ve maintained a spirit of rebellion and non-conformity, holding improvisational concerts in their living room, aptly named Somewhere Else. This title symbolizes a safe haven, free from commercialism and artistic constraints. After a decade, four albums, and hundreds of concerts, including tours with Squid and Mandy, Indiana, this duo continues to reflect their geographical, musical, and spiritual ethos.
The evening will be opened by Bain de Gong, a new experimental solo act from Marseille, France.
Tickets are available in Kotur at the price of MKD 200 and are strictly limited.
