Those with a great memory may remember the kid with the violin from the M2 “Potraga po zvezda” (Search for a star). The violinist Petar Markoski is 33 years old today, but his love for music still hasn’t left him. This time, he performs the recognizable pop choruses with his violin. His repertoire includes songs by Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Elvis Presley, Abba, Julio Iglesias, Adele and many other classics.
The violinist Petar Markoski from Ohrid is both, a singer and composer. With over two thousand performances under his belt, he proves that he’s not one to halt his musical journey. He is under a current contract with a premier European manager, formerly managing Stjepan Hauser. This summer, he’s preparing for a series of concerts beyond Macedonia’s borders.
Petar Markoski’s musical journey commenced at the age of seven with his formal education. Even during his high school years, he showcased his talents by performing at cafes in Ohrid. In collaboration with the group Stuck On, he secured second place in the audience’s hearts at the 2009 “Ohrid Fest” festival with the song “Baram uteha.”
Petar plays everything, from classical to pop and rock music, but all songs are masterfully adapted for violin performance through his arrangements. On his YouTube channel, a collection of fifty songs awaits. His original compositions exist, but they are absent from his channel’s offerings.
