Karmen Klinc is a talented Slovenian singer who makes waves in the metal scene and is one of the five vocalists in Venus5. This unique metal vocal group brings together female singers from across Europe. With roots in classical piano and choir singing, Karmen's journey led her to join this groundbreaking "pop metal" project launched by Frontiers Music Srl, which released their self-titled debut album in 2022. When she's not belting out powerful vocals with Venus 5, Karmen enjoys watercolor painting and hiking in her home country of Slovenia. Her musical influences range from classic rock legends her dad introduced her to (like Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin) to metal giants like Iron Maiden. school and I wanted to play the piano. I

wasn't thinking about singing back then

um it was my father actually who played

a guitar and he was also always the one

his guitar and everyone was like singing

together with him and you know usually

along. And yeah, then when I was five, I

wanted to play the piano and they were

they had to take me there and I needed

tests and they took me to the music

school when I was five even though it

was it was two years too early but uh

are not strong enough yet. So I went to

music school for two years and just

singing these children songs and you

the like rhythmical exercises and stuff

started to play the piano and uh I

basically started singing like

um in high school because I joined the

choir and um that's when I realized

So, how how did uh how did you guys

Venus 5? Uh was it the Frontiers Records

project or or you you girls collected

Records. Uh they reached out to us. Um

they found us probably I don't know

through social media and uh YouTube and

so on. They were searching for

rock/metal singers all over the Europe

and that's how it happened. They found

us. Um and we're all from different

countries. Yeah. From Albania, Serbia,

Italy, Slovenia, and Sweden. So yeah,

but it was like really interesting

because to be honest, I was really

scared at the beginning. I didn't I

didn't know what to expect. I didn't

know if, you know, we would get along

together with

girls. Uh but in the end, it really

turned out great. And when we first met,

actually, it was like we knew each other

for forever. Yeah. So you you created

the album together. I mean, you had a

producer probably and a song maker and

a band uh to tour around Europe or with

Uh, no, we didn't go on tour, but uh, we

had some shows together at the festivals

and yeah, I just uh, came from Italy

like 10 days ago because we recorded the
